We who serve this Country in it's Military and either continue serving or become the Veterans of 'Serve the Country and it's Constitution' as said by all who take the Oath of service to!
We don't serve lotteries, we don't serve political parties, we don't serve small groups of actual caring citizens who have to fight for funding, we don't serve groups of people targeted for taxes, i.e. sin taxes and others, so the greater majority can use and have access to everything a government sets for the society but refuse to pony up for the costs, we don't serve any special interests within, We Serve All!
If you aren't going to fund the results of our wars you send the few into, especially wars of choice, then Stop Cheering them on while waving those flags and using the verbal words of support along with the cheap symbols.
It's been decades of ignoring us older vets, and under funding the VA, and now we have veterans of two more long running occupations of others, who have fought and returned home under the most extremely blatant show of Non Support.
Tax cuts started as you cheered on the sending into wars and yet there is No Demand for Personal Sacrifice as a Nation as these younger vets come home. Especially from the wealthy elite who are still reaping benefits off their investment in, directly or indirectly, and got those huge cuts to generate job growth as to the free market capitalism ideology, been over a decade now, where are those jobs especially for these returning vets. And your lame excuses about not being sure what Washington is going to do got old as soon as you first aired them, your capitalism ideology didn't call for that, it calls for you to carry the load with no need for government investment.
And this article about Iowa isn't the only place this is happening, it's across this country, the short funding on the needs of these less then one percent who serve, survived and are coming home and out of the military but even those staying in aren't rewarded as they should be!
